JHS eBooks and Print Book Access

Destiny CatalogThis is the link to our JHS collection of books. We have new eBooks in our collection. You will need to click the Johnsonville High School link and then log in to see the eBooks. You may email Mrs. Calcutt if you have trouble logging in. You may also request print books, and the books will be delivered to you or you will be notified via email when books are available for pickup. 

BOOKHUB: Request available books from our collection by using the BookHub form or by using Destiny. Books will be delivered to you within 24 hours or virtual learners will be notified via email when the books are ready for pickup in the main office. 

SORA: SORA provides another way to read eBooks. Many classics are located in this collection and you may also link to your Florence County Public Library access.  Login with your Clever account to access these books.

Junior Library Guild Ebooks: New eBooks available every 90 days. See Mrs. Calcutt for your login information. 

Teen Book Cloud: eBooks provided through the DISCUS website. At-home learners, please email Mrs. Calcutt for the at-home password.

DISCUS Databases: South Carolina's Virtual Library includes reference books, test prep, video resources, and much more. login information is required for home access. Please refer to Schoology or email Mrs. Calcutt for the current home access login information.

Novel12:Young adult novels free to read online.

Audible:  Free audio books for teens and young children.

Classicly has almost 1800 free novels in its Young Adults collection.  These classics are available for free download in PDF or Kindle.

SCASL Young Adult Book Award 2021-22: South Carolina Association of School Libraries selects a list of recommended books for young adults each school year. Students may participate in the voting if they read at least 3 books from the list. This link includes information and book trailers about the SC Young Adult Book Award Nominees for 2020-21.

Florence County LibraryThe Florence County Public Library is a wonderful extension to our school library. The Florence County Library System card gives access to the SCLENDS consortium which includes 20 SC county libraries as well as FREE ebooks and e-audiobooks through Jasmine Digital Library and RB Digital.
